Balancing heart and mind
Keeping records for all mankind

Its weave of light transcends realities
Interpreting energies without banalities
Based upon the weave of all light
Its revelations speak to divine sight

Its data retrieval is perspicacious
Its delivery extremely audacious
If Truth be sought without condition
Then this Goddess has the ambition

Listen for the sacred learning
Its weave of light will quell your yearning
Its energy in its fullness has no flaw
Yet know your strength and have no awe

No one energy has all the might

Goddess of the Aqua Shawl

Goddess of the aqua shawl
For Father and Mother it’s on call
Blending vibrations of the ocean deep
Above and below benefits are reaped

This Goddess light is uniquely effective
Its energies spent separate or collective
Its radiant color is aquamarine
Gently wafting from blue to green

When this Goddess changes its hue
You can bet your light she's on cue
When reflecting above,
It is sending its love

Reaching beyond the mountains high
Vibrating the passion of Father Sky
When reflecting below,
Its love it does sow

Reaching far to the Earth’s core
Tending to the grass, elementals and more
Here it vibrates in great love and mirth
As it tends to the needs of Mother Earth.

Hail to this Goddess whose love is a blessing
To a planet in need of such lighted caressing
Humble is this Goddess king or queen
Who wears the shawl of aquamarine

Love is Mental

In this world of yin and yang
Love can render a mournful pang
Women give their love freely
While men are removed and steely

Soft words, kind gestures and deep felt feelings
Reciprocated with meager scraps and paltry dealings
A tender heart becomes toughened by rejection
So she rushes to solitude and self-inspection

Tender hearts are only incidental
The real culprit lies in the body mental
Turn off the left hemisphere of your brain
And look to the right to ease your pain

In this process: self-reclamation
And in the bargain, the soul's declamation
For in all the hills and valleys of the emotions
‘Tis the mind in charge of all the commotion

When I live in my brain’s right hemisphere
Love is the sole energy, the only promise there
I also find a person who’s fancy and free
Imagine how surprised I am to find that it's me

Me at Eight Months Old

Me at Eight Months Old

I was open and clear;
I had no fear
Then my life changed
Two girls deranged

On a brisk stroll we all went
No one knew their minds were bent
Beaten and punched was I
Returned to mother I did cry

My bottle was broken, my lip bleeding and bruised
What could have happened on this eerie cruise?
These teens, now suddenly mute,
Left my soul damaged at the root

Mother, heart broken and forlorn
Knew my trust was destroyed and fear born
My open smile was replaced by a frown
Now I took refuge behind mama’s gown

Strangers once welcomed were now mistrusted
Where love once lived the heart was crusted
My inner world was beautiful, no lie
But in the outer world I was painfully shy

Now I wonder who I would have been
Had I not been part of such outrageous sin
My creativity was wholly tamped down
This was a world where I would always drown

I sought safety at every turn
For love and purity I did yearn
My talents were hidden, unable to be free
My steps were calculated; no one knew me

Always approaching the edge
Never stepping over the ledge
Never finding my wings
Never searching new things

Now the pain rises at sixty-four
The time has come to open a new door
The answer lies within an open heart
I know now that we each played a part

Mea culpa, I wrote the mystery
Designed it was to create my history
Awareness is the only salvation
A means for emotional liberation

Don’t dwell in the past
Why make pain last?
Be present; be in the Now
Be in love and take a bow

Oprah

It was 1954, when Oprah was born
Her wings were hidden rather than shorn
With this, the Creator sent her on her way
“Remember who you are. Don’t let that thought stray.”

Mississippi was where she wanted to be
And for her mother, she chose Vernita Lee
“I’ll name her Orpah,” Vernita proposed
But Orpah became Oprah with two letters transposed

From angel to human, Oprah never looked back
She was ready for her journey; her strength was intact
She had wisdom and courage and curiosity too
But about her journey Oprah had not a clue

Kosciusko is the town this soul did grace
It was her learning tree; the very first place
Despite that small town, Oprah’s dreams were capacious
She imagined her life with a mind quite sagacious

While Oprah dreamed, Vernita was ambitious
And left Mississippi for conditions more propitious
In this chapter of life’s arduous play
Oprah was raised by one Hattie Mae

This was a grandmother of ample note
“I’ll raise you gal, but I won’t dote”
Hattie Mae was driven and stern
She did all she could to help Oprah learn

When just a tot Oprah learned to read
It was during this time her future took seed
Words were not lost on this little titan
Who quickly excelled in reading and writin’

Each week at the library she found a new book
For dreams to come true she knew what it took
The world became a place more reachable, though poor
Oprah’s mind was ripe like a seasoned bookstore

Her church congregation was awed by her verse
She stood before all with no need to rehearse
Hattie Mae was dutiful and Oprah’s first teacher
She was proud of the little girl known as, “The Preacher”

At the age of six, Oprah bid Hattie farewell
A different life awaited if just for a spell
To Milwaukee she was headed with Vernita for sure
There Oprah found a new life and much, much more

This little bud, waiting to bloom
Was forced to deflower much too soon
From cause to effect, a libertine arose
Until Oprah decided to bring it to a close

In her world, this soul had gumption
She overcame any family dysfunction
By age thirteen a scholarship she earned
To Nicolet High where she continued to learn

She was smart, popular and even funny
But Oprah was a teenager without lots of money
She ran away from home and lived on the street
Her mood had changed; no longer was she sweet

Alas at fourteen, she succumbed to a boy
Now she had a baby. It wasn’t a toy.
This progeny’s blueprint said birth and no more
It went home to the Creator, merging with its core

Too out of control for Ms. Vernita Lee
Oprah was sent to Nashville, Tennessee
Her salvation was there in her father, Vernon
Who set her on a path, with lots more learnin’

Honors in school and most popular girl
Oprah decided to give speech a whirl
She placed second in dramatic interpretation
A glorious beginning to her emancipation

For oratory accomplishment a scholarship she won
Oprah was headed for another long run
She earned a place at Tennessee State
It was an opportunity to meet her fate

Oprah honored that oblation by studying communication
With graduation behind her, a dalliance she dared
A beauty pageant won, her confidence flared
She entered local media ready to score

News anchor in Nashville and then Baltimore
A good run she had on a local talk show
But Oprah got antsy and wanted to go
Off to Chicago this wunderkind went

There her talents were amply spent
In 1983 was her national debut
AM Chicago surpassed Donahue
In no time at all, she was assured her fame

That morning show bore her whole name
The Oprah Winfrey Show saw its evolution
Out of it was born a spiritual revolution
Good deeds, kindness, and love abound

From that foundation, Oprah’s truth was found
A look at her blueprint and all is revealed
Oprah broke from convention and hearts she did heal
Rising to the top over challenges stacked high

Oprah moved forward, reaching for the sky
For her, the work is not merely a career
It’s a way of life for this pioneer
Philanthropist, producer, actress and more

God only knows what her future has in store
If your journey is daunting beyond measure
Take that challenge and make it a treasure
Your life is your easel, paint in any hue

Be bold, be brilliant, and be true to you
Embrace your journey, find your passion
You’ll have a life only you can fashion

Ellen

From the heavens fell a golden particle
Into its mother’s womb, the genuine article
It settled in for a period of gestation
In this life, it would be its longest vacation

From seed to fetus, its first journey on Earth
Nine months to ponder, what was it worth?
In that period, it grew and grew
Blonde hair it had and eyes of blue

This golden seed of the Creator’s Force
Picked a name and gender to suit her course
Oh yeah she was jellin’
It was a girl, named Ellen

On January 26, in the year fifty-eight
Ellen debuted and met her fate
She had mom and dad and an older brother
All were happy and loved one another

But alas, things didn’t go as Ellen was hoping
One door closed, but another was opening
The year ’73 changed the family’s course
Because mom and dad got a divorce

Shortly thereafter, a new marriage, a new tune
The family was leaving Metairie soon
They settled in Atlanta, Texas to be sure
Ellen was restless, she wanted more

She finished high school and wiped her slate clean
Then headed back to her beloved New Orleans
Her university experience there was short lived
Ellen was restless and her brain like a sieve

She abandoned her career as student
And took a path much less prudent
Finding no joy in having a boss
Ellen decided to take a loss

She quit her job and found satisfaction
In the atmosphere of audience reaction
Honing her skills in coffee houses and clubs
Ellen wanted center stage, no longer a sub

She did her standup while customers yelled, garçon
And won a spot on The Tonight Show with Carson
After her bit
He invited her to sit

Ellen knew the game
She was headed for fame
Her career took off like a rocket
And she had cash in her pocket

After years of hard work the pinnacle came
Ellen was known by only one name
She became bolder and bolder, until a fact she did posit
Ellen shored up her courage and came out of the closet

A dry spell ensued, a time for reflection
Eventually, Ellen understood; all was in perfection
She came back on the scene in love and no feist
Now she’s a role model, the new zeitgeist

Movies, voice-overs, talk show too
Ellen is smiling, no longer blue
She found true love residing inside
Yes, who you are is nothing to hide

When life’s doors are closed or seem off center
Just turn the knob and gingerly enter
The key to doors opening is now familiar to you
It is found in the adage, “To thine own self be true”

Home

In this place of singular attitude
I experience life in peaceful beatitude
The walls are adorned with colorful art
All of which touches my heart

Furniture, mementos and much more
Fill the place from door to door
Yet, to none of these items am I attached
For inside me is something unmatched

I carry it wherever I go
In rain, sun, sleet, and snow
So if I must leave this place called home
I will do so, but not alone

Here within me lies all that I need
Love of self, the eternal seed
I just can’t wipe this smile from my face
As off I go to find a new space

Kirael

King of the Angels I hear tell
They call the energy, Kirael
It has no gender having come from above
Naturally, its focus is healing into Love

A bargain was struck with another energy
If you go, then I’ll go, a deal that was plenary
One chose to be the experience intact
While the other chose to be spirit and abstract

Kirael traveled the dimensions and outer portals
Learning all esoterica unknown to mortals
The King of the angels is also a Master
Having expanded his knowledge vaster and vaster

Now carrying his wisdom from the fields of Elysium
Kirael was ready to find his one medium
He came to the Earth plane to look around
There in Lemuria his experience was found

Now his mission he was ready to pursue
So he eased his light into the one called Kahu
His plan: to reveal the most glorious of gifts
Humankind's awakening to the Creator’s Great Shift

On the Earth plane Kirael’s Love has been felt
The most benumbed of experiences started to melt
Veils begin to thin
Each time Kirael comes in

Its words vibrate on seven planes
Likely challenging most human brains
Those who hear the obvious and determine they are complete
Miss the cache of wisdom that’s oh so replete

Those who hear the obvious but listen again and again
Always hear the secrets hidden deep, deep within
Kirael has stewardship of the Goddess Light
Creator Love incarnate, that’s right

Kirael reminds each to the codes adhere
Humbleness, yes, and Love my dear
In balance is where you’ll find Goddess Love
Looking to give your vibration a shove?

Seek the challenge and to the matrix be inapposite
For this Love you seek truly has no opposite
My love and gratitude to this powerful and brilliant Light
Whose radiance and amity has turned my journey bright

If this adventure, you plan to complete
Remember to stay the course, five or fifty is sweet
Keep the path conscious, love-filled and real
Remember, my friend, Love yourself enough to heal
